The Addiction and Mental Health programs & services are devoted to the provision of high quality mental health care and
embrace the concept of Recovery.
The vision of Recovery focuses on how people function rather than how services are managed and delivered, so that today more and more people lead active, meaningful lives, in spite of the challenged associated with mental illness.
Recovery emphasizes that people with mental illness are not passive recipients of rehabilitation services. They do not "get rehabilitated" in the sense that cars "get tuned up" or televisions "get repaired." Rather, they are courageous participants in a way of life that includes employment, social interaction, sports, community service and other activities.
