Urodynamic Clinic

Patients Served

Patients with functional disorders of the lower urinary tract.

Overview

Urodynamics is the investigation of functional disorders of the lower urinary tract, i.e the bladder and the urethra. The purpose of urodynamics is to provide information about the function of the urinary system from which an accurate diagnosis can be made so individualized treatment can follow.

Your visit to the Urodynamic Clinic

This clinic provides urodynamic testing which is a test to examine the flow and motion of urine in the urinary tract and with the use of bladder and rectal catheters shows how the bladder is working. Abdominal pressures are also measured.

Patients may feel pressure when the bladder is being filled, but will not feel any pain. One does not pass or fail this test. The results of the test will help the patient and his/her doctor plan treatment.

Referral information

Physician referral needed. The urologist or gynecologist physician will order the test which is then performed by specially trained and skilled nurses.

We offer compassionate, quality care that is focused on the patient. We strive to understand our patients and their urologic problems.
