Research Policy
The research study policy is maintained in the office of the Chair of the Research Ethics Board in the Research Department. It is recommended that researchers read this policy prior to initiating research at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
Research Ethics Board Forms and Manuals
The following documentation must be completed and submitted before consideration from the Research Ethics Board. Forms can be submitted electronically to: ResearchDepartment@nbrhc.on.ca
Please complete the Research Project Submission Form for all new research projects.
During the course of a study, researchers may need to amend a portion of the documentation that was previously approved. Prior to implementing any changes in the protocol, researchers must complete this form.
Research Ethics Board approvals are only valid for one year from the original approval date. Three to four weeks prior to the expiry of the original approval, the Research Department will require the completion of this form.
Complete this form upon completion of your research project.
Adverse/unanticipated events that are experienced by a participant as a result of a research study must be reported to the North Bay Regional Health Centre Research Ethics Board within three business days of their occurrence. This is done by completing a REB Adverse/Unanticipated Events Notification Form.
